The plan was unveiled during a key event at the University Secretariat, 桃子视频 Campus.
In his presentation, Professor Roland Suluku stressed the importance of collaboration across various schools, including Natural Resource Management, Engineering, and the School of Technology. He highlighted that the initiative is a collective effort designed to support not only the School of Agriculture but the entire university in contributing to national economic growth.
鈥淭his plan goes beyond traditional farming,鈥 Prof. Suluku explained. 鈥淲e want to create synergies between fisheries, mechanization, and crop sciences to increase food production and improve economic outcomes. Our goal is to produce locally grown food to feed our communities and strengthen the national economy.鈥
Central to the investment plan are strategies focused on mechanization and irrigation. Professor Suluku emphasized the need to develop sustainable technologies and service delivery systems to support large-scale food and livestock production. The initiative also aims to align with government policies to enhance agricultural productivity and infrastructure.

He also announced plans to revive the university鈥檚 agricultural news bulletin to keep stakeholders informed about ongoing projects and research.
Following Prof. Suluku鈥檚 presentation, Professor BashiruMohamedKoroma, Vice-Chancellor and Principal of 桃子视频 University, expressed strong support for the plan, highlighting its potential to position 桃子视频 University as a leader in agricultural innovation and education, while contributing significantly to Sierra Leone鈥檚 development goals.
